1. What is MaxMobile Prepaid?
MaxMobile Prepaid is StarHub’s prepaid unlimited mobile broadband service designed to offer customers greater flexibility to pay according to their surfing needs/habits.
2. What are the benefits of using MaxMobile Prepaid?
With MaxMobile Prepaid, customers do not need to sign any contracts or worry about any bills to pay later while enjoying unlimited data access.
MaxMobile Prepaid also comes with 20 free local SMSes!
3. Can I make voice calls with MaxMobile Prepaid?
No, MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM card is solely for data usage and SMS only. Voice calls will not be applicable on these cards.
NOTE: iPad device does not have SMS (send and receive) feature.
4. Where can I use MaxMobile Prepaid?
As a mobile broadband service, MaxMobile Prepaid can be used anywhere in Singapore, out of your home or office, with purchase of any MaxMobile Prepaid data plans.
MaxMobile Prepaid service can also be used for roaming. However, MaxMobile Prepaid data plans are not applicable for roaming use and prevailing roaming data charges apply. Roaming charges will be deducted from the Main Balance.
5. What do I need for my MaxMobile Prepaid service?
To access MaxMobile Prepaid service, you would need our MaxMobile Prepaid SIM Card, a USB Modem and a laptop. You can purchase a MaxMobile Prepaid SIM Card and a USB Modem from any StarHub shops and all Exclusive Partner outlets.
If you currently already owned a USB Modem, you can configure the Access Point Name (APN) setting to "shppd" in order to access MaxMobile Prepaid. If necessary, the Dial Number for MaxMobile Prepaid is *99#.
Note: StarHub will provide the necessary support to configure the USB Modem sold by StarHub. For all other USB Modems, please refer to your respective USB Modem manufacturer for support.
6. How do I connect after I have purchased the required equipment?
For MaxMobile Prepaid SIM card user
Insert the MaxMobile Prepaid SIM card into your USB Modem and plug the modem into a laptop. You will be directed to our Self-Help portal.
For 1st-time user, you will need to register for a Gee! ID account and password before you can start to login. Simply click onto the link that indicate this and follow through the steps.
For MaxMobile Prepaid microSIM card user
Insert the MaxMobile Prepaid microSIM card into your internet device. You will be directed to our Self-Help portal.
You will be prompted to enter your MaxMobile Prepaid microSIM number and Password.
NOTE:
Password: Is the last 6 digits of the number of the reverse side of your microSIM card
Upon successful login, you can click onto “Data Plan Activation” to purchase your preferred data plan and start surfing.
7. How do I check my MaxMobile Prepaid service details?
Customers can log in to the MaxMobile Prepaid self-help portal at
www.starhub.com/maxmobileprepaid/selfhelp to do the following:
* Activate MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card,
* Purchase a MaxMobile Prepaid Data Plan,
* Top up MaxMobile Prepaid,
* Check account balance,
* View data plan(s) details e.g. activation and expiry date of data plan(s),
* View user guide online.
8. Can I access the self-help portal without purchase of any MaxMobile Prepaid data plans?
Yes, you can access the self-help portal even though you have not purchased any MaxMobile Prepaid data plans.
The self-help portal will not be chargeable when you are accessing within Singapore.
9. Can I access the self-help portal while I am roaming overseas?
Yes, you can access the self-help portal while you are roaming. However, please note that prevailing roaming charges will apply while accessing the self-help portal.

MaxMobile Prepaid SIM Card
1. What are the speeds available for MaxMobile Prepaid?
There are 2 different MaxMobile Prepaid SIM cards available:
* 7.2 Mbps; and
* 2.0 Mbps.
Note: MaxMobile Prepaid microSIM is only available in 7.2Mbps data speed.
2. What are the corresponding download and upload speeds of the 2 different SIM cards?

Please note that the actual bandwidth and speed experienced while using MaxMobile Prepaid will depend on several factors such as broadband device/equipment used, radio conditions, network traffic, destination server etc.
3. Is registration of MaxMobile Prepaid SIM required upon purchase?
Like all current Prepaid cards, proper registration of the MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card is required upon purchase. All existing registration and de-registration processes and policies of StarHub GREEN Prepaid SIM Cards shall apply for the MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card.
4. How do I top up the MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card?
You can top up the MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card via the following options:
* Click here for Internet Top-up via eNets VCard, Debit cards and Credit cards; or
* SMS to 6782 in the following format, using all current Happy Prepaid Top-Up Cards in all denominations EXCEPT Happy Stars and Happy $128 Prepaid Top-Up card:
TOPUP<space><10 digit top up card><space><6 digit PIN number>

5. Where can I purchase the Happy Prepaid Top Up cards to top up the MaxMobile Prepaid card?
You can conveniently purchase the existing Happy Prepaid Top-Up Cards in denominations of $6, $18 and $38 at any StarHub shops, Exclusive Partner outlets, 7-Elevens, Cheers etc.
IMPT: Happy Stars and Happy $128 Prepaid Top-Up cards cannot be used to top up MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card.
6. Can I use the Happy Stars / Happy $128 Prepaid Top-Up cards to top up the MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/mircoSIM Card?
No, you cannot use the Happy Stars / Happy $128 Prepaid Top-Up cards to top up the MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card.
7. Are the top-up credits and bonuses applicable?
Yes, all top-up credits and bonuses for existing Happy Prepaid Top-Up Cards and electronic top-up also apply to MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card.
8. Will my MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card be expired?
Yes, your MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card will be expired after 6 months from date of activation or date of last top-up after service activation.
You can extend your MaxMobile Prepaid SIM/microSIM Card simply by topping up your card.

2. How are the plans being charged?
All MaxMobile Prepaid data plans will be charged fairly based on 24-hour clock cycle.
E.g. Customer activates a 3-Days Data Plan on 01-June-09 at 2000 hrs, his data access will expire on 04-June-09 at 1959 hrs, as illustrated in diagram below

3. What will happen if more than 1 data plans are purchased before the current data plan expires?
If another data plan has been activated before the expiry of the existing plan, the expiry date will be extended, based on the plans purchased.
E.g. Customer activates a 3-Days Data Plan on 01-June-09 at 2000 hrs, and before the expiry of his current plan, he activated another 1-Day Data Plan. His data access will expire on 05-June-09 at 1959hrs, as illustrated in diagram below.

If I have already purchased a 60-day data plan and I purchase another 60-day data plan x days later (x<60 days), will my unused data from the first purchase be rolled over? And what is my new expiry date?
Yes, any unused data from the first purchase will be rolled over to the new expiry date. The new expiry date will be the 60 days from the date of the 2nd data plan purchased.
5. If I have purchased a wrong data plan, what can I do?
You will not be able to purchase a data plan of the wrong speed e.g. If you are using the 2 Mbps MaxMobile Prepaid SIM Card and try to purchase a 7.2 Mbps data plan, you will not be able to do so. Therefore, no credit will be deducted from your account main balance.
However, if you have purchased a wrong data plan of the wrong duration, we are sorry that we will not be able to refund you, likewise for all StarHub Prepaid services.
6. If I have selected a MaxMobile Prepaid data plan while roaming, what can I do?
MaxMobile Prepaid data plans are not applicable for use while roaming. Likewise for all StarHub Prepaid services, we will not be able to refund any data plans activated before and during roaming.
